Our business

Valdemar Lützen Byggibúð's business since 1 January 2003

Høgni Lützen came home to the Faroe Islands in the summer of 2002 after working for six years as a manager in companies in the building and DIY trade in Denmark, such as SILVAN and BAUHAUS.

The aim was a generational change in the company, to optimise the product range and in turn increase sales.

The change was made with confidence. Since 2003, sales have grown steadily. The positive trend seems set to continue, and the outlook is good, with growth compared with previous years.

Valdemar Lützen's business has four parts: tools, machinery, locksmith service and stainless steel wholesale.

Today the company has 12 employees. The head office and the shop are still at Skálatrøð, where we have been since 1904.

Valdemar Lützen's locksmith service keeps growing and today has five locksmiths and four mobile locksmith vans that drive all over the country.
